We've been home a week! I long to be in China again with the Dagenbachs, the Martins, the Taylors, the Howards, and Singletons, the McDavids, the Cox', the Fletchers, th Foshers, and the Snells (our awesome travel group). I really miss it. I miss having play dates with the girls, shopping 24/7, always having someone to talk to. I miss not being able to understand anyone except fellow Americans. I miss trapsing through the hotel halls. I miss the fabulous hotel buffets (by far the China hotel). I miss having our schedule decided by Rosa and Fontana. I miss our guides, I miss the Chinese people, I miss the Chiense food, I miss China. For anyone going to China, ENJOY IT WHILE YOU ARE THERE. It goes by so quick!!!
AnnaClaire has come a long way in a week! She is still the adorable, cute, sweet, smiley, huggagle, kissable, loveable little one she has always been, but she is so used to her home! She is not afraid to walk around, not afraid of Maggie, not afraid of anything!!!
On this day that marked the week of being home from China, we visited the grocery store for the first time! AnnaClaire, I think, was overhwhelmed by all the food! We also went to Panera to get bread bowls for dinner. Oh and I had said yesterday that it would probably be an early morning... well, our girl didn't wake up until 8! She slept about 12 hours! We put her in her carseat to bring me to swimming. She also came to pick me up and we went home for lunch. AnnaClaire had more fruits and veggies. She is such a good eater! We played awhile before her short nap. After that, we ran out. While at Harris Teeter, we got her a small sippy cup with handles. We tried a sippy cup on Monday but she had no idea how to use it. It was a tall sippy cup with no handles. We are in no rush to sippy cup train her, as we like babying her all we can, but we did get the sippy cup. I tried giving her juice in it when we got back and she had no idea what to do with it. I ended up giving it to her like a bottle. She just can't figure out how to suck it and tilt it. It will come in time and for now, we enjoy giving her bottles! Although she can't drink out of her cup, she LOVES it! She walked around holding it for a longggggg time. It was so cute! More snuggles, hugs, and some boucing in her jumper occured before heading out for a stroller ride. We bundled her all up as it has gotten cold here in the Tarheel State! She looked like a little snowball! SOOOO adorable! She liked her ride and when we got home, she ate. We then played blocks, and with her door before Mom bathed her, gave her a bottle, and put her to bed. Each and every day, we find ourselves falling more and more in love with our gift from God. I cannot imagine having any other child! We didn't realize it until we had her, but God really did give us the perfect baby for our family! For that, we are forever greatful.
Enjoy the pictures and have a good night!
